G1 recently created 5 animated virtual characters in a recent FMCG conference. Three characters were created to represent the champion products in the Treat-Clean-Care categories of Laundry Care, a Santa to represent the end of year Seasonal product range and last but not least was Paris Hilton's dog 'Tinkerbell' complete with pearl necklace and a dry Bronx accent to tell the developments in Pet Care.
All characters were given personalities to represent their category, with actors providing the voices and a complex animated system brought the 3 dimensional characters to life. The 1.5 hour show was also supported by a 270 degree projection screen spanning 60 metres wide and 7.5 metres high. Using Watchout, video backgrounds brought the supermarket to life, communicated the change in category and category specific animations, such as rising laundry bubbles, replaced PowerPoint in re-enforcing the written component.
